Project goal
Increase the trust between both banks of the Nistru River and TAU Găgăuzia through the development of the social protection system for people with disabilities.
Project objectives
  • Improve the delivery of social services for children with disabilities and their families from 5 districts from both banks of the Nistru River through the development of mobile teams and day center;
  • Ensure community-based organizations from both banks of Nistru River and TAU Găgăuzia support the rights of people with disabilities to live in the community;
  • Prevent stigma and discrimination of people with disabilities through the Social Theater Forum and build the capacity of the journalists from both banks of the Nistru River.
Main activities
  1. Develop 5 mobile team social services in Căuşeni, Ştefan Vodă, TAU Găgăuzia, Slobozia and Tiraspol;
  2. Develop a day care center for people with disabilities in Tiraspol;
  3. Build the capacity of LPA and specialists from mobile teams and the day care center in case management and quality monitoring;
  4. Offer mini-grants for local CSOs and journalists for promoting social inclusion and non-discrimination of people with disabilities;
  5. Develop and strengthen the CSO network on both banks of Nistru River;
  6. Provide support to self-advocates for promoting initiatives and participating in community life (autumnal school, monthly meetings, advocacy activities).
