Project goal
Empower persons in neuro-psychiatric residential institutions and local CSOs to defend and monitor the rights of people with mental disabilities in Moldova.
Project objectives
Promote greater awareness of the rights of people with mental disabilities through their empowerment as self-advocates;
Capacity-building of CSOs to enhance and to monitor the CRPD implementation in neuro-psychiatric residential institutions;
Combat discrimination of persons with mental disabilities living in neuro-psychiatric residential institutions and promote community for all.

Orhei, Bălți, Edineț, Soroca, Hîncești, Dubăsari.
Main activities
Develop a national informational campaign regarding the rights of people with disabilities;
Develop the Hotline service for reporting human rights violations;
Design workshops for people with disabilities living in neuro-psychiatric residential institutions about self-determination, self-advocacy and human rights;
Build the capacity of staff in residential institutions and CSOs to promote and respect the rights of people with disabilities;
Develop a national mechanism of monitoring the human rights protection of people with disabilities;
Provide legal assistance and support services to people with mental disabilities who have been deprived of their rights while living in institutions.
